Currently, only one adult can manage a Kit account as a Boss. The Boss can approve PayDays and initiate transfers from the Boss Linked Account to the Kit account within the Kit app.
Other adults can make transfers into the account, view balances and help tick off chores.
They can transfer into the Kit account
Adults other than the Boss can transfer from their banking app to the Kit account by using the kid’s BSB and account number. Where do I find my kid’s BSB and account number?
They can view profiles/balances and tick off chores
Other adults can view kid profiles/balances and help them tick off chores by downloading the Kit app and accessing the kid profiles directly.
- Download the Kit app on their own device.
- You (the parent registered with Kit) will need to login with your email and password the first time the app is downloaded to link the app to your family account.
- On the 'Who's There' screen, the second adult can then enter the relevant child’s Access Code to view their kid profile.
Note: The other parent cannot do any Boss functions (e.g. transferring from your Boss Linked Account to Kit) without the Boss Code, so please make sure not to share the Boss Code with them.
In the future, we are exploring changing our account structure to a joint structure, which will allow an additional adult to verify their identity and make transfers from their own Boss Linked Account from within the app.
