How will major prize winners be decided from the votes?

At the end of the voting period, we’ll tally all valid votes for each eligible organisation in each region. The organisation with the highest number of valid votes in each region will win the $10,000 major cash prize for that region, as set out in the T&Cs. 

Key dates:  

For organisations:   

• Registrations opened 1 December 2025 

• Registrations close, get in before 1 March 2026 to start receiving votes sooner   

• Voting opens to the public on 1 March 2026   

• Voting will close 24 May 2026  

• Winners are announced 7 June 2026.  

For families:  

• Voting opens to the public on 1 March 2026   

• Voting will close 24 May 2026  

• To vote for your organisation, simply download a money lesson from the Kit Cares website – every completed lesson counts as one vote towards your chosen organisation. You can vote once per fortnight, each time a new lesson is launched.  There will be 6x Kit Money lessons during the voting period.
