More details on Kit's alcohol merchant blocks

To help protect children, Kit blocks card spending at bottle shops.

Kit has historically blocked a category called “Drinking Places”. This includes pubs and bars, but also includes local sports clubs, and sometimes juice and bubble tea shops or cafes.

Based on customer feedback and our review of spending patterns, we’ve removed the category-wide block on “Drinking Places”, while retaining existing blocks on bottle shops, tobacco retailers and, gambling businesses.

Kit continues to provide a range of more customisable and specific parental controls to safely manage spend:

• Real-time purchase notifications
• The ability to block an individual merchant from a transaction in the Spend screen
• Daily spending limits
• Real-time card controls, including locking the card and turning ATM, online and digital wallet transactions on or off
