Adding kid profiles

Each child in Kit has their own kid profile where you can set up chores, set savings goals, and manage their spending

The first time you set up the Kit app, you will create a profile for one child, and you can add more later. You can have up to 5 kid profiles created in Kit.

Can I add children that are not my own?

Whether you are a parent, a stepparent, a legal guardian, or a grandparent, you can register with Kit and set up a profile and card for your child.

Adding a kid profile

To add another child:

  1. Open the Kit app.
  2. Tap ‘Add kid’ in the ‘Who’s there?’ screen, or from the menu of the Boss profile if you are logged in as the Boss.
  3. Follow the prompts.

You should then see a new kid profile in the Kit app, and their physical Kit card will be mailed to the address you nominated in 7-12 business days. (My child’s card hasn’t arrived.

If you are on a single child plan, you will be upgraded to a multi-child plan when you add another child. (Kit has a flat fee for the multi-child plan so there are no additional charges for a third, fourth, or fifth child.) View pricing plans.

As there is a maximum of 5 kid profiles created in Kit, if you have six or more children, you will need another parent or guardian to open a second Kit account.
