How do I set up instant transfers with PayTo?

PayTo lets you make fast, secure payments directly from your bank account. Unlike direct debit, which may take up to 3 business days to clear, PayTo transfers are instant.

To set up your PayTo agreement

  1. Check that you have the latest version of the Kit App. How do I know if I have the latest version of the app? 
  2. Log in as the Boss and go to 'Account settings'
  3. Tap on ‘Update Boss Linked Account’

If no children have existing agreements

  1. If your bank is PayTo enabled, you will see a message saying ‘Instant transfers are not enabled. Turn on instant transfers.’
  2. Tap on the link ‘Turn on instant transfers’
  3. Kit will send your bank a Kit PayTo agreement for each child. If you have 3 children, you will receive 3 Kit PayTo agreements
  4. Log in to your banking app and approve the Kit PayTo agreement(s)

If some children have existing agreements

  1. If you have an existing PayTo agreement for any of your children, you will see a button ‘Manage instant transfers’
  2. Tap on the button ‘Manage instant transfers’
  3. You will see a list of your kids and the status of their instant transfers
    • Green tick: no action needed, your kid has instant transfers 
    • ‘Turn on instant transfers’: Tap the link. Kit will send your bank a Kit PayTo agreement for that child. You will have to tap this link for each kid with this status. 
    • ‘Approve Kit PayTo agreement’: Log in to your banking app and approve the Kit PayTo agreement for that kid. 
    • ‘Resume Kit PayTo agreement’: Log in to your banking app to resume the Kit PayTo agreement for that kid. 
    • ‘Send a new Kit PayTo agreement’: The BSB and Account Number on the Kit PayTo agreement is different from the Boss Linked Account in Kit. This happens if you updated the BSB and Account Number on the agreement from your banking app or website but not on the Kit App. You can either update the BSB and Account Number in Kit to match the PayTo agreement, or if you tap the ‘Send a new Kit PayTo agreement’ link, it will generate a new Kit PayTo agreement based on the BSB and Account Number details saved in Kit. 

Until you log in to your banking app and approve your Kit PayTo agreement(s), Kit will continue to use direct debit for in-app transfers and PayDays, and they may take up to 3 business days.

You must approve the Kit PayTo agreement(s) within 5 days, otherwise the agreement will expire.
