I get the error "Unable to create an account"
You may have previously applied to set up a Kit account, already have an active Kit account, or closed your previous Kit account. Try logging in with the original email address you registered with.
You may see "Unable to create an account" after submitting your identity details or sharing your consent to share your CommBank details with Kit. This can occur if you have previously applied to set up a Kit account, already have an active Kit account, or closed your previous Kit account.
Kit only allows one active account per adult.
If you already have a Kit account or had previously applied for Kit (but did not complete the application):
- Try logging in with the original email address you registered with. If you have forgotten your password you can reset it.
- If you do not already have an account, resume set up from where you left off.
- If you had submitted your identity details, check for an old email from Kit support with instructions to complete set up. Respond to that email or contact Kit support for further instructions (e.g. if the link provided to you has expired).
If you previously closed your Kit account:
If you try to log in and see the error message “This account no longer has access to Kit”, or if you no longer have access to the email address or phone number you used, please contact support here.
