When you create an account in Kit as the parent or guardian, you are granted the Boss Account, which allows you to manage your kid profiles and the overall account.
There is currently only one Boss in Kit.
To access the Boss Account
- Open the Kit app.
- Enter e-mail and password, and the verification SMS.
- In the ‘Who’s there?’ screen, tap the avatar marked ‘Boss’.
- Enter your Boss Code.
Boss-only features include
- Use the in-app transfer function to transfer funds from the Boss Linked Account to Kit.
- Transfer funds from Kit back to the Boss Linked Account.
- Manage Kit’s parental controls.
- Set up, edit and approve PayDays.
- Link a CommBank Youthsaver account to Kit.
- Add a Kit card to a digital wallet.
On your child’s kid profile, you may notice that they can see Boss-only functions such as editing PayDay, which will have a lock icon next to it. However, to continue, the Kit app will ask for the Boss Code, and the child will be unable to proceed unless you enter your Boss Code.
This is helpful for cases where you may not have your device available, and you need to quickly do an action on your child’s device.
Note that entering your Boss Code whilst in your child’s profile will grant Boss permission for that single action only, and will revert back to the child’s access as soon as the action has completed.
